Introduction
The Departmental Safety Sub-Committee is a small group that ensures EH&S matters in the Department are addressed punctually. The Sub-Committee meets on a weekly basis and is responsible for continually updating the Department’s EH&S policies and documentation. These meetings are chaired by the Departmental Safety Coordinator. EH&S information is disseminated from the Sub-Committee to the Department via a regular electronic newsletter called Safety Matters and via monthly meetings with the Work Group EH&S Coordinators. The Safety Sub-Committee reports to the Departmental Safety Committee.
The Sub-Committee also releases one page Question of Safety bulletins, which are posted at key points in the Department.
