IgV Events
IgV Annual Meeting
These informal meetings provide a terrific opportunity for students to mingle with other immunologists and discuss their work in a congenial atmosphere, as well as obtaining experience in oral presentation.
Participants are welcome to submit an abstract and are scheduled for a short talk. The IgV Committee also uses this venue to award student bursaries and prizes.
In 2008 the
15th IgV Annual Meeting was held at the Yarra Valley Conference Centre.
This lovely venue nestled in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and surrounded by vineyards provides a wonderful location for the conference. The Centre is located at 2164 Melba Hwy, Dixons Creek via Yarra Glen, Victoria.

IgV Workshops
IgV is known for its highly successful Techniques Workshops held in the middle of the year. These are a great way for students, postdocs and supervisors alike to stay abreast of cutting edge technologies, see examples of their application and be made aware of useful tips and tricks.
In 2008 we broke from tradition to offer an
Immunology Masterclass. This was held in the Woodruff Theatre in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Melbourne and offered a range of exciting topics from stem cells through to HIV infection.
